PLAGIARISM - TURNITIN : Turnitin.com is an electronic resource that assists in the detection and deterrence of plagiarism. 

The University of Toronto has a license for the unlimited use of Turnitin.com by our instructors.  The Turnitin.com database searches over 4.5 billion pages on the Internet, millions of published works (including ABI/Inform, Periodical Abstracts, Business Dateline, and tens of thousands of electronic books), and currently holds over a million previously submitted papers (including paper mill essays).

TEACHING STATION: A Teaching Station is the University of Toronto standard Electronic Podium, for classroom presentations with a built-in PC computer and full a/v components.    Majority of centrally controlled classrooms across the tri-campus area are equipped as follows: 

Large halls have the Teaching Station, featuring a touch-screen and on-board computer. 

Medium rooms have a Teaching Station Junior, which is a simplified platform for hooking up your laptop to the ceiling mounted projector. 

All rooms are also to have a portable height-adjustable Lectern.

This service is administered by Office of Space Management (OSM)

VIDEO MEDIATED COMMUNICATIONS: University of Toronto offers a variety of videoconferencing solutions including video conference meeting rooms, mobile video conference units, and personal video conferencing.

Personal desktop video conferencing solution Movi/Jabber allows individuals to connect to their colleagues directly or to select meeting rooms via a video link. Personal desktop video conferencing solutions are available for faculty and staff only.
