ACADEMIC TOOLBOX REFERENCE GROUP (ATRG): The teaching mission at the University of Toronto is shared by all divisions and on all campuses. Enterprise instructional technologies and services are critical to the success of that mission. The “Academic Toolbox” represents the organic growth of enterprise instructional technologies at the University of Toronto. To move forward from here, we need a multi-faceted but coordinated approach to community consultation and project prioritization for further development of the “Academic Toolbox” (beyond “Blackboard”). This includes the development of the Academic Toolbox Reference Group (ATRG) – a multi-divisional, tri-campus advisory group that will serve as a forum for the discussion of planning strategies and priorities vis-à-vis instructional technologies.

CROWDMARK: Crowdmark is a collaborative online grading and analytics platform available over the Internet. Crowdmark workflow provides efficiency gains in exam administration, grading, data recording and analysis, returning exams and handling regrade requests, and data visualizations of student performance. Crowdmark is available via the Learning Portal (Blackboard).

Each division of the University has its own policies and practices regarding access to, and use of Crowdmark. The tool is not universally available by default.

Every request for access to the tool, on a course-by-course basis, must be approved by the relevant division.

REMARK: Gravic Remark Office OMR software is user-friendly, while providing a rich feature set. No need for special pre-printed forms, dedicated hardware or number 2 pencils. Create multiple choice tests that fit your needs using any word processor, printer, and paper. Using a scanner or multifunction printer, the completed test answer sheets are scanned into the software and graded. Run reports with the built in analysis components. Output results to an extensive variety of formats.

UTORGROUPER: UTORGrouper is the Institutional authorization management and provisioning system, with integrations into some Institutional services. UTORGrouper is designed to support delegated role and access management, allowing those best placed to make access control decisions (eg. Business Officer, Project Manager, Divisional and Departmental Staff) to make them directly and have the changes take effect immediately.

The UTORGrouper service also provides architectural support for the use of UTORid / UTORGrouper integration at the Divisional and Departmental levels.
