All your CanSSOC questions answered

A two-way dialogue is an important part of both open communication and the success of any project or organization. In fact, it is a cornerstone in the day of a CIO. In that spirit I ask my readers to reach out to me with questions, concerns and comments directly at cio.office@utoronto.ca.

With that in mind, I have some exciting news about the CanSSOC project that was introduced in my blog a few months ago: Partnership in practice: CanSSOC and UnITe 2019. Later this week, on Friday, July 26 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. my  colleagues and I will be live and ready to answer your questions all about the CanSSOC proof of concept (POC) project in real-time. The team is hosting a fast-paced, interactive and informative question and answer format webinar.

Join us to learn more about this multi-university and partner-driven project that is changing the landscape of information security in Canadian higher education. This event will be the first in a series of thee webinars over the summer and fall. It will provide an overview of the project and outline the POC outcomes. The event will feature IT leaders from both McMaster University and University of Toronto (U of T) and will be attended by a diverse group of higher education professionals from across the nation.

Speakers:

  • Gayleen Gray, Assistant Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, McMaster University
  • Bo Wandschneider, Chief Information Officer, U of T
  • Isaac Straley, Acting Director of CanSSOC and Chief Information Officer, U of T
